For 20+ years, Groundcover has kitted me out with care, from head to toe, and still going. I have my weather-beaten leather hat, which I continue to use during work or leisure time outdoors, my trusted belt and Chelsea boots (onto which pair number by now I don’t quite know). Beyond my person, and almost two decades on, I still use ‘old faithful’, my trusted vintage Groundcover laptop bag, which has literally circumnavigated the globe from Bergen to the Antipodes and Buenos Aires to San Francisco via Tokyo. It has accompanied me on trips to the UN and VIP meetings, has served at my side in conflict zones and informal settlements in Africa, the Middle-East and joined me on adventures on every continent around the world. As if this is not enough, I have waders and South African style veldskoens or “vellies” for the bushveld, wool-lined slippers for the ladies at home in winter, a Groundcover special book cover, lanyard for an heirloom and leather off-cuts that we used to make personalized guest key-rings for our Midlands wedding. As the saying goes, "If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together." Thank You, Groundcover, for your quality workmanship, kindness and friendship!
